Today marks my one year anniversary in the Sandbox. Exactly one year ago today I left everyone and everything that I've ever known and moved to the most random place in the world. It's so crazy to think that I have spent an entire year here. It's also weird to think that so many odd things have become so normal that I couldn't even make a fun list. I wanted to make a list of lots of strange things but I couldn't even come up with any strange things because they're all so normal!
I have learned so much this year, about myself, about culture and life overseas, about reaching out to people who are in need. It feels like I've been here forever and at the same time it's like time is flying by. I hope that I haven't weirded anyone out with my strange experiences and gross pictures. Thank you to all of you who have been keeping up with what's going on over here in the Sandbox and for thinking about me.

No worries, I'll tell you what's strange: a box of kleenex on every dashboard with a gold ornate cover. Oh yes, a lot of things I still see as "normal"...but that just makes me laugh!!
